The eyes are very precise and complex organ. It consists of the eyeball and the front cover,
called the eyelid. Between the eyelids and the eyeball is the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is
a mucous membrane includes small blood vessels needed for the eye to get nutrients and
oxygen. These blood vessels give the eye a healthy reddish color. Sometimes, certain factors
can cause these blood vessels dilate, allowing more blood flow to the eye, due to which you get
red eyes. Below I’m going to describe some of the reasons which cause your eyes red.

Blepharitis:
Inflammation of the eyelash follicles along the eyelids is caused by skin bacteria or viruses. In this case Itching is common, and the eyelids may appear greasy or stiff.
Conjunctivitis:
It is inflammation or infection of the membrane that lines the eyelids and covers the surface of the eye (conjunctiva). This condition is often referred to as “pink eye”. This may be caused by viruses, bacteria, allergy, or irritation. If caused by an organism, it is very contagious.
Corneal ulcers:
Ulcers affects the outer covering of the eye, usually due to bacterial or
viral infection.
Uveitis:
Inflammation of the uvea, which includes the iris, ciliary body and choroid. It is often associated with autoimmune disease infection or exposure to toxins. Often, only the iris is inflamed, which is called iritis.
Seasonal Allergies:
The reaction of eye to allergens like pollen and dust also causes
reddening of eyes. This happens when the pollen and dust in the air, gets into the eye shell, who are allergic to pollen or dust, get its severe effects. This allergic reaction leads to excessive production of tears, anger, and as a consequence of eye color is red.
Too long to read or sitting in front of the TV or computer:
These activities can make your eyes red and get your eye side weak.
Vitamin deficiency:
Especially vitamin A, B-2, B-12 and B-6. Vitamin deficiencies can cause dry and red eyes.
Contact Lens Wear:
Wearing contact lenses can sometimes cause redness of the eyes.
Some people just have a contact lens in the eye enough to make your eyes red.
Acute angle-closure glaucoma: Acute angle-closure glaucoma is a serious medical
emergency that must be treated immediately. This is a serious form of glaucoma which
causes painful redness.
Excess use of eye drops:
Excess use of eye drops can cause redness of eyes. So avoid
using unwanted drops and other eye medicines. If you are facing red eye problem then get some precautionary measures to get rid of this problem. Because it may cause your eye sides weak.
